Chief Minister’s Kanya Utthan Yojana
This scheme has been started by the Bihar government to encourage the girls of the state to higher education. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 50,000 will be provided to the girls of Bihar state till they obtain a graduation degree.
This amount will be given to them in installments from birth till they obtain a graduation degree. About 1.5 crore girls will be given the benefit of this scheme. A maximum of two daughters of a family can avail of the benefit of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana. Under this scheme, money will also be given by the government to buy sanitary napkins and school/college uniforms. This is an important scheme being run by the Bihar government.

- For sanitary napkins: Rs 300
- For Uniform (Class 1 to 2): Rs.600
- For Uniform (Class 3 to 5): Rs.700
- For Uniform (Class 6 to 8): Rs.1000
- For Uniform (Class 9 to 12): Rs.1500

Essential guidelines related to filling out the application form for Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana
- Before filling out the application form, you must register on the portal.
- If the list of your college is not available on the portal, then you can contact the registrar of your university. In this way, you can add the name of your university to the list.
- A student cannot apply more than once.
- All the important documents are as follows-
- Student’s Photograph: Student’s Photograph size should be less than 50 KB. The prescribed size is 200 × 230 PX.
- Student Signature: Student signature photo size should be less than 20 KB. The prescribed size is 140 × 60 PX.
- Aadhaar Card: A black and white scanned PDF file of the student’s Aadhaar card should be uploaded. Its size should be 500 KB or less.
- Residence Certificate: A black and white scanned PDF file of the residence certificate should be uploaded. Its size should be 500 KB or less.
- Photocopy of bank passbook: A black and white scanned PDF file of the photocopy of the bank passbook should be uploaded. Its size should be 500 KB or less.
- Graduation Certificate: A black and white scanned PDF file of a photocopy of the graduation certificate should be uploaded. Its size should be 500 KB or less.
- While filling out the application form the application form can also be saved in draft.
- The application format can be printed by the applicant.
- Check the application form carefully before final submission.
- Once the application form is submitted, no changes can be made to it.
